ATG is currently seeking aRoadway Design Engineerfor our Houston, Texas office. This position will be a key hire to help grow our Roadway Design practice.

The Roadway Design Engineer provides roadway and drainage engineering design for a variety of transportation projects that may include Schematic and PSandE level design for urban and rural transportation projects, freeway and interchange design, hydraulics and hydrology, storm sewer and culvert design, signing, pavement marking and traffic control design.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas
• 4+ years of progressive experience in Roadway Design
• Expertise in Microstation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads software
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and able to work well in a team environment

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with OpenRoads modeling
• Familiarity with GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, and other HandH software
• Familiarity with TXDOT standards
• Knowledge of and familiarity with transportation design manuals and regulations
• Experience creating animated videos for use in Transportation projects
