Marine Spill Response Corporation Relief Opportunities - Vessel Deck Department in Houston, Texas

Marine Spill Response Corporation is a not-for-profit, U.S. Coast Guard Classified Oil Spill Removal Organization. MSRC was formed in 1990 to offer oil spill response services and mitigate damage to the environment.

Due to the response ready nature of MSRC, we are currently looking for Able Seamen, Mates, and Masters interested in relief work. Whether you are interested in only a few days or a few weeks, we offer flexible short term assignments based on your personal availability. With 9 vessels nationwide there is opportunity to travel as well. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At the minimum all candidates must posses valid USCG Mariner Credential with at least the following capacities: 

  • II/4- RFPNW

  • II/5 - Able Seafarer- Deck

  • VI/1 - Basic Safety Training

  • VI/2- Prof use of Survival Craft

  • Domestic Rating for Able Seaman and Lifeboatman

  • Valid USCG medical certificate (STCW) required

  • TWIC card

  • Candidate will need to be willing to travel and accept flexible work assignments.
