A Robert Half client is currently seeking a highly proficient Accounts Receivable Supervisor with proven experience. This Accounts Receivable Supervisor position calls for an individual who is adept at reviewing credit applications and recommending credit limits and payments terms for new and existing customers, supervising a team of Collection Specialists and reconciling intercompany accounts. The successful Accounts Receivable Supervisor will also be responsible for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), overseeing accounts receivable staff. This Accounts Receivable Supervisor position will be a hands-on role working with their team to further development and meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable department.

• Assess and review credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers.

• Oversee and manage intercompany account reconciliations.

• Closely track and analyze KPIs to evaluate and improve financial operations within the department.

• Supervise the accounts receivable staff, guide, and provide constructive feedback as necessary.

• Administer commercial collections and work closely with customers to manage past due accounts.

• Utilize advanced Excel features (VLOOKUP, Data Analysis Comparison and Pivot Table) to compile and present accurate reports on account statuses.

• Handle escalated collection status calls, negotiating effectively to secure payment and maintain positive business relationships.

• Identify unapplied cash within the financial system and swiftly resolve any problems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role in commercial collections, billing and cash applications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, specifically with VLOOKUP and Pivot Table capabilities.

• Extensive experience managing and supervising a team.

• Excellent knowledge of accounts receivable and collections procedures.

• Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and staff at all levels.
