Eaton Corporation Senior Engineer - Power Electronics Controls in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

"This position is part of global Electrical sector organization responsible for Power Electronics converter controls for Energy Storage, Power Quality and Critical Power Product Portfolio (Energy Storage Inverters, UPS, etc.)

The incumbent will be responsible for controls design and integration of software cutting across the Power Electronics Product portfolio. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for defining the controls architecture like, inverter/DCDC converter control, mode/state manager, etc, to meet functional, performance goals. The role also requires the incumbent to collaborate with the Systems and EE hardware teams to drive the software design that is efficient and minimizes risks during the product development cycle. The incumbent will also be responsible for driving the software integration and establish mature software development process aligned to Agile software development."

"Execute standard work packages for Software Architecture for: Inverter, Dc – Dc conversion, Chargers,

Participates in the analysis and composition of requirements

Works closely with Software & Controls team members for Production Software development/integration.

Performs software validation in MILS, HILS environment

Prepares test plan and validating the Controls on HILS environment

Provides new ideas and concepts to the product design and development process "

Qualifications:

ME/M. Tech or BE/B. TEch in Electrical Engineering

5"EDUCATION: Required: Master’s Degree in Power Electronics/Control Systems and

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Power Electronics product design and controls development.

Technical lead eMobility Controls Team.

SkillSets

1.Understanding of Power electronics Hardware and motor controls algorithm.

2.Design, modelling, simulation and implementation of power electronics including analog and digital electronics for power conversion and power distribution technologies

3.Understanding of Functional Safety Concepts

4.Experience in low and medium voltage power conversion ,digital control loop for Inverters, Chargers and DC-DC converters .

5.Expertise in Converters, motor drive technologies, high power electronics, electric machines and controls.

6.Experience in designing and modelling power converters and power systems using simulation tool like MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE

7.Knowledge of CAN Communication.

9.Development of control architecture , algorithm and requirement for high power energy conversion .
