Network Operations Engineer

Technical Skills required

• Experience on ITIL and Service Management concepts primarily Change, Incident and Event management.

• Good understanding of network monitoring concepts and tools

. • Experience working on Cisco LAN switching

• Experience working on Juniper LAN switching

• Experience working on Velo Cloud

• Experience working on Cisco WAN environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to routing Protocols : OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

• Skills to analyze Network performance related issues

• Support Cisco / Juniper based LAN segments

• Experience working on TCP packet analyzer tools, ethereal, sniffer etc.

• Experience working on Riverbed cascade / Bluecoat packet shapers

• Experience working on Aruba Wireless environment

• Experience working on Infoblox DNS servers

• Experience working on F5 GTM/LTM's

• Good understanding of firewall and proxy servers Primary Responsibilities

• Restoration of high severity incidents

• Lead and drive restoration calls

• Engage & drive restoration with required vendors

• Identify RCA for incidents & provide remediation plan to functional teams

• Present monthly view of incidents/restoration efficiency, RCA & remediation

• Review & approve CRQs for impact assessment

• Keep the Config Management DB updated

• Keep the Known Error DB updated

• Identify improvement opportunities in the env & handover to the functional teams

• Decision making - provide opinion on how to work efficiently, other potential conclusions that can be drawn from the data, how to adjust the reports to draw conclusions more clearly Formal Education & Certification • Bachelors degree in computer science / information system or equivalent • CCNP(Routing & Switching) / CCNP(Service provider) / JNCIP-ENT • ITIL certified – Added advantage
