WBI ENERGY Land Surveyor / Sr. Surveyor in GLENDIVE, Montana

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Land Surveyor ($6,400 - $9,600/mo.) Must possess a working knowledge of land surveying at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in surveying technology, geomatics or related field or equivalent experience; and Four years land surveyor experience; and Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and the ability to obtain licensure in a state within our service territory within one year; and AutoCad and Global Positioning System (GPS) education or experience. Land Surveyor, Sr. ($7,367 - $11,050/mo.) Must possess a working knowledge of land surveying at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in surveying technology, geomatics or related field or equivalent experience; and Seven years land surveyor experience; and Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in at least three states in our services territory; and AutoCad and Global Positioning System (GPS) education or experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks. Required to maintain a valid drivers license. Required to maintain PLS license. Requires travel: Extensive (50% +). May be subject to the Company's random substance abuse testing program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and mapping. Pipeline/route surveying experience. Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in a state within our service territory. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct surveys and mapping of routes for new pipeline construction, pipeline relocations and replacements, well locations and tracts of land for WBI Energy Transmission and other business units as requested. Directs WBI Energy Transmission or contract personnel assisting with surveys and mapping. Prepares, signs, and certifies legal exhibits, plats, certificates of survey, permits and other legal documents as required by law. Directs professional land surveys performed by company survey personnel. Prepares applications and supportive information required for state and federal permits for right-of-way applications, roads and highway crossings, river crossings, etc. Prepares designs and drawings for pipeline facilities, e.g. valve assemblies, spans, river crossings, well exhibits, etc. Consults with contractors and engineers regarding ongoing projects. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
