Envirosmart, Inc. DBA ES Integrated Field Range Technician in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Summary/Objective

EnviroSmart is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced professional to perform Daily Cleaning and Lead Abatement on Government Firing Ranges; Firing Range System Maintenance and Repairs; Hazardous Waste Management and Disposal; Preparation of field reports, inspections, and other correspondence to Customer personnel; Scheduling and performing routine filter changes and maintenance on Air Handling Units. Position will provide services to firing ranges through the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.

Candidates must have knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 (The OSHA General Industry Standard), 49 CFR (DOT Hazardous Material Transportation), and 40 CFR (Resource and Recovery Act), Code of Maryland Regulations, and The District of Columbia. Experience working on Federal Government installation is a plus.

Pay Range: $29.00 - $33.00/hr DOE

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass DHS background check for site access/clearance

  • Clean Driving Record (must provide DOB, SS#, DL# & State upon request)

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 (The OSHA General Industry Standard),

  • Knowledge of 49 CFR (DOT Hazardous Material Transportation)

  • Knowledge of

  • 40 CFR (Resource and Recovery Act)

  • Knowledge of Code of Maryland Regulations

  • Complete job required training.

  • HAZWOPER and Updated Refreshers

  • Forklift Operations

  • Lead Awareness

  • First Aid

  • Bloodborne Pathogens

  • CPR

  • Experience working on Federal Government installation is a plus

Physical Demands

Must be able to:

  • Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive.

  • Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearance.

  • Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects, to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Work will require personnel protective equipment such as Tyvek, respirators, safety goggles, glasses, gloves, safety shoes in a multiple number of combinations.

  • Work at elevations, climbs ladders, scaffolding and into/out of trucks, tanks, and various other containers.

  • Exposure to the weather (high and low temperatures)

Hours of Work

  • Varying hours Monday through Friday

Travel:

  • Some travel required.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
