Amentum Purchasing Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas

You can telework but you must live within driving distance of our Fort Worth, TX office. You may be asked to be on-site for certain meetings/projects. US Citizenship is required to apply.

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for supervising activities related to the procurement of materials and supplies.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Purchases and schedules materials, parts, equipment and supplies.

  • Ensures the processing of orders and communications with vendors regarding material and quantity requirement revisions, rates adjustments and incorrect materials.

  • Schedules orders in a timely manner that will meet production and maintenance requirements to assure continuity of operations at the lowest cost.

  • Assists in the establishment and administration of procurement and inventory objectives.

  • Provides guidance to employees according to established policies and management guidance.

  • Follows procedures and policies in analyzing situations or data to determine appropriate action.

  • Performs other duties as requested.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven effective negotiation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective decision-making and problem solving.

  • Good knowledge of PC software applications.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years of experience in related field can be substituted for each year of four (4) years of college.

  • Five (5) years progressively responsible purchasing experience. One year of supervisory experience preferred.

  • US Citizenship is required to apply.
