WestRock Company Elect. Reliability Engineer in Florence, South Carolina

The opportunity:

As an Electrical Reliability Engineer in the Maintenance department, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving reliability issues within the facility, actively participating in area critical maintenance initiatives and root cause analysis across the facility and assisting in outage and shutdown execution as required.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Actively promotes and participates in all elements of the safety program.

  • Supports and fosters safety and environmental compliance.

  • Provide daily technical assistance for electrical issues for the maintenance organization.

  • Managing maintenance resources or contractors during outages or project implementation

  • Leads projects to continuously improve equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs.

  • Manages the installation, upgrading and general maintenance of production systems hardware and software work on major repair jobs, new installation jobs and modifications to machinery and equipment.

  • Supports the strategy and core values of the Maintenance Department.

  • Manages and reports Key Process Indicators (KPIs) detailing all the results of the reliability program activities.

  • Recommends innovative solutions to increase equipment and facility life and reduce maintenance costs through the analysis of repetitive equipment failures/breakdowns and predictive maintenance analysis reports.

  • Submits recommendations and justifications for capital expenditures that support and improve the Reliability program.

What you need to succeed:

  • BS Electrical Engineering or related field of study

  • Minimum 2 years in related field

  • Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and leadership skills, team player
