  • This position is a hybrid position which allows the incumbent to complete their work at both an NAU site, campus, or facility and at a non-centralized site with or without accommodation.

Job Description

Supports the Center for Service and Volunteerism\'s AmeriCorps Programs which include Arizona Ready for College and Career (ARCC), the Arizona Teacher Residency (AZTR), Environmental Literacy Corps (ELC), Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA), and VISTA Programs. Performs a variety of office/administrative support duties related to the unit, which require attention to detail, organization skills, and careful execution of assigned tasks. Communicates clearly and frequently with the Operations Assistant Manager and the AmeriCorps team on assigned tasks and duties.

Administrative Support - 35%

  • Drafts and sends member and partner site documentation required for AmeriCorps compliance.
  • Orders and adjudicates National Service Criminal History Checks.
  • Assists members through the NAU onboarding process.
  • Coordinates with AmeriCorps staff on hiring timelines, onboarding status, and member completion of program.
  • Collaborates with Operations Assistant Manager to achieve AmeriCorps member enrollment, compliance, and to steer AmeriCorps practices through NAU systems.

Data Entry and Reporting - 30%

  • Establishes member file checklists for all AmeriCorps members.
  • Creates monthly member data reports for the Governor\'s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family.
  • Organizes member data in digital files and spreadsheets.

Member Payroll - 30%

  • Prepares bi-weekly payroll reports and enters stipends into Peoplesoft for over 200 AmeriCorps members.
  • Maintains member, mentor, payroll, and recruitment Excel spreadsheets with daily inputs.

Other - 5%

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a high school degree, may require an Associate\'s degree.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
  • A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the educational minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative experience in higher education.
  • Administrative experience in AmeriCorps programs or non-profit organizations.
  • Experience with National Service programs and/or volunteering and service programs.
  • Experience with eGrants, National Service Criminal History Checks, and OnCorps Reports.

  • Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships.
  • Proficient in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation, and basic math. Written communication skills.
  • Records maintenance.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Operates a variety of office machines including personal computers, telephones, and copiers.

Background Information

This position has been identified as a safety/security sensitive position.
