SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for the direction of the activities for the following laboratory divisions: Chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, point of care testing, and toxicology. The manager’s responsibilities require the oversight and evaluation of procedures, regulatory requirements, equipment, and staff. The position requires knowledge of facts, concepts and skills in technique and instrumentation as well as knowledge of personnel relations and group functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) :

• Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in the clinical laboratory

• Three (3) years of related experience required

• ASCP certification with the College of American Pathologists

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S) :

• Excellent computer skills

• Proficient in Work and Excel

• Excellent organizational skills

• Team leadership

• Versed in lean concepts and processes

• Excellent problem solving skills
