Description:

Actalent's client is seeking a highly-skilled Sr. Engineer to join their team. This position will be responsible for the planning and execution of engineering designs using CAD software and other proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading teams in both a technical and managerial capacity by leveraging their strong communication and decision-making skills. This position offers some flexibility for remote work on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities Include:

• Plan & create detailed engineering designs to meet project specifications & goals

• Drive engineering & design process from conceptualization through final evaluation

• Work closely with external stakeholders to gather requirements and secure all necessary documentation prior to submitting the final designs

• Act as a mentor to Jr. Designers and other team members, fostering their technical skills and career development

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Design for Utilities

• Baseline knowledge of AutoCAD - Microstation and other BGE-specific software can be taught

• Leadership qualities - ability to manage 3-4 designers and mentor them on full process

• Ability to QA/QC Electrical Designs before submission to customers for production

• Experience with Microstation

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

• Strong time-management skills and problem-solving skills
