DRB Systems (A Vontier Company) is the leading provider of technology-enabled devices and software solutions to the North American car wash industry. We are searching for a Junior Buyer to coordinate the day-to-day facility operations and assist the Procurement department, assume purchasing responsibilities and coordinate the day-to-day facility operations. The candidate will be required to independently manage their workload including creating and expediting of PO’s. They should be able to define problems independently, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and resolve discrepancies in a reasonable amount of time.

The ideal candidate should prefer to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Prioritize independently to fast paced and changing demands

  • Complete the Procure-To-Pay process

  • Perform data analysis to develop a strategic procurement and inventory plan

  • Issue Purchase Orders from a variety of departments (Engineering, Service, IT, Warehouse, Marketing, and Operations)

  • Ensure on-time product delivery

  • Ensure PO conforms to Company policy and/or Vendor Contractual Terms

  • Ensure purchases are most cost-effective methods for obtaining goods

  • Assist in projects bids, and participate in negotiations

  • Develop close working relationships with internal customers

  • Identify, develop, and execute process improvements

  • Manage vendor relationships for office supplies and services

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Degree, Professional Certificate (ie. CPM, CPIM, etc.), or related experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of Purchasing experience

  • Computer Skills: Strong MS Office and ERP Software Skills

  • Communication Skills: Must clearly communicate with suppliers and fellow employees in a professional/business manner both verbally and written form
