Job Summary

The Site HSE Advisor supports the management and development of Health, Safety and Environment for the site. This includes operational controls, regulatory requirements and goals to attain best in class. They will lead and embrace GKN business, environment and cultural values.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the HSE Lead.

  • Implement GKN Aerospace HSE policies and procedures throughout the site.

  • Complete and maintain required HSE documentation including risk assessments.

  • Report and manage all incidents on HSE data collection system.

  • Provide reports as required on site HSE performance.

  • Ensure accurate and complete tracking of internal HSE metrics, plans, recordkeeping and corrective actions.

  • Ensure employees are trained and competent in relation to HSE.

  • Ensure statutory compliance of the site.

  • Set targets for site HSE performance.

  • Support Health and Safety and Environmental site certifications as required.

  • Support the HSE Audit function.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment, plus 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, required. In lieu of a degree with an HSE focus, an additional 3+ years of related experience is required.

  • 3+ years of experience with national and local HSE requirements, as well as experience with of ISO certifications (14001, 50001, 45001), required.

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GKN experience preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate a message, idea, or information clearly to an audience through practiced presentation skills.

  • Must have a strong focus on teamwork, being able to develop and manage positive relationships with colleauges as well as internal and external customers.

  • HSE qualification at certificate level (NEBOSH certificate or equivalent) within appropriate discipline.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.

  • Good communication and people skills, with ability to lead and influence.

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

  • Tech IOSH or equivalent.

  • Problem solving and investigation skills.

Compensation Range

The Compensation range for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000.
