Quality Control Supervisor

As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our electro/mechanical products. You will perform a wide range of inspections, following IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 requirements. Your expertise in wiring, soldering, and understanding of IPC standards will be essential in conducting inspections in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing work instructions, and industry best practices.

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Salary Information: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00

Your Challenge:

  • Personnel and process evaluation, continuously assess the performance and quality of personnel, processes, and methods. Your goal is to maintain high standards and identify areas for improvement.

  • Monitoring and inspecting of quality of materials, product, services to ensure compliance with documented procedures and drawing requirements.

  • Manage the calibration recall process and database, process quality instruments requiring calibration on a monthly basis, coordinate outside services for the calibration of surface plates and micro-hites.

  • Ensure work environmental conditions do not adversely affect the quality of products and services.

  • Training new employees (onboarding) to all applicable departmental/company procedures, and policies, including enforcement of mandatory corporate ethics, compliance training courses and policies.

  • Set personnel goals and objectives; establish clear, achievable goals for the quality team that align with the company’s broader mission.

  • Overseeing daily operations, monitor the work and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

  • Manage quality control personnel performance, evaluate team members performance, provide feedback, and address any issues to maintain high-quality output.

  • Generate non-conforming material reports (NMRs)

  • Generate biweekly quality control backlog reports, provide weekly summary report of personnel output.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, follow-through and complete assigned tasks.

  • Perform internal audits to ensure procedural/process compliance.

  • Keep track of training records for new and current employees, making sure all training is up-to-date.

  • Listen to concerns from employees and managers with the aim of improving business operations or processes.

  • Provide support to all internal customer ensuring support is provided on an immediate basis.

Your Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly, detail, and parts list drawings.

  • Experience in the defense electronics industry is preferred.

  • Proficiency in using PC-based tools.

  • Must be a US citizen and eligible to obtain DOD Security clearance.
