About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Associate Director of Sales to join Sales team in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Deliver assigned KPI targets (weekly, monthly, yearly).

  • Make recommendations to the GM on necessary sales plans or strategy revision to increase production from own accounts / industry segment(s)

  • Act as the single point of contact in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate for each assigned account.

  • Full account management to produce Long Stay /contracts for assigned leisure accounts and geographic region(s)

  • Obtain current accurate knowledge of the organizational structure, both formal and informal, of own accounts, business and update frequently.

  • Keep close follow up on developments of the competitor hotels (occupancy, structural alterations, renovation, special campaigns, rate promotions, marketing efforts, theme events etc.) Also explore and compare FIT and Long and Corporate Stay Traffic (who is accommodating guests in which hotel) amongst the competitors.

  • Communicate effectively to GSOs on all issues relevant to own accounts in order to maximize market penetration / exposure.

  • Be fully up to date with actual / forecast / budgeted volumes, revenues and occupancies of the SBU.

  • Maintain comprehensive awareness of all SBU needs (including promotions, offers, USPs, IVTs), leisure market trends, account market share and customer needs.

  • Explore industry related data, new airline routes inbound to Dubai, and Tourism Board efforts/activities overseas in order to promote the destination which all could be of interest and benefit to the hotel and to distribute this information to your colleagues.

  • Take full ownership of own performance. Initiate, implement and update ADPs for assigned customers in line with the departmental guidelines.

  • Act (and assist others when required) as a specialist in the assigned industry segment(s) keeping yourself updated and informed about all their highs/lows, major movements and trends within the industry segment(s)

  • Collect customer/partner data from own customers and support team in collecting theirs

  • Ensure all of your customer/partner data is collated, summarized and consistently updated in Jumeirah Sales systems (e.g. CRM, Delphi)

  • On weekly basis, prepare an activity report from the system which will cover sales call reports, site inspections, fam-trips, new agencies, meetings, entertainment and other functions you participated in during the week and present to General Manager

  • Set and meet customer expectations and facilitate objection handling.

  • Attend industry networking events in order to broaden relevant commercial contacts.

  • Plan and conduct customer entertainment/outlet experiences across the SBU on a regular basis.

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct site inspections across the SBU.

  • Plan, coordinate and host designated fam-trips.

  • Deliver brand message to customers.

  • Balance customer service needs with Jumeirah’s business needs to achieve Jumeirah sales targets.

  • Maintain and grow positive customer and partner relationships.

  • Use data accurately to guide your sales activity.

  • Actively promote and cross-sell other SBUs relevant to clients and pass on leads through CRM.

  • Participate in preparing sales action plans, attending sales meetings, developing new ideas such as special packages, programs, promotional activities undertaken by sales department and/or F&B.

About you:

  • Commercially (targets and results) focused.

  • Internationally recognized College-educated.

  • Business related degree from internationally recognized institution.

  • At least two years' experience in a sales Manager role in a 5* luxury hotel.
