Roechling Medical Lancaster, LLC Engineering Assistant in Denver, Pennsylvania
SUMMARY
Assists the Engineering department with support functions. Involved in new product development, process qualifications, and documentation. This position will also require raw data collection and interpretation, basic drafting, project management, and managerial support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides engineering support services
Works in development lab and with prototype materials in the development of new products and processes
Performs operations for the purposes of testing, evaluating and qualifying
Documents operations and experiments using established formats
Assists in maintenance and debugging work performed by engineering department
Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations
Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
Recommends revision of methods of operation or material handling, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards
Adhere to all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards
Follows the official policy for Good Manufacturing Practices as required in the Medical Device Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act
Provides feedback and pro-active communication to supervisor, management, and co-workers to ensure efficient and effective operations. Contributes input to management based on knowledge of processes toward process and product improvement efforts of the company
Provide other department and manufacturing support as requested by immediate supervisor
Other Duties related to engineering may be assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
