Hiring an Indirect Category Specialist / Data Analytics professional! This is a critical role on our procurement team and will be responsible for supporting our Regional Categories for Indirect Material Procurement. We are seeking someone with analytical experience who can work within a cross-functional Procurement organization.

Job Summary：

The Indirect Category Specialist will play a significant role in creating value for the business by working closely with Category Leaders and supporting procurement activities such as sourcing, supplier and contract management, & operational excellence for Indirect Goods & Services. The role will partner with the Category teams to support the development of category strategies, procurement operational excellence, and centralization while ensuring value through high levels of service and compliance with procurement policies, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing historical and forecasted spend data to support development of category segmentation and identify opportunities for improvement, rationalization, savings, and consolidation, while also focusing on current and future market opportunities to support identification of new sourcing opportunities

• Supporting Category Directors & Managers in developing spend cubes across all categories with initial insights; Draw meaningful insights from data that can be pursued as category management opportunities

• Providing risk assessment and transparency on potential issues surrounding data integrity

• Creating reports that provide information suitable for management decision making

• Recommending and designing business appropriate dashboards and reports delivering enhanced understanding of what is strategically important to the report audience using data visualization tools such as Business Intelligence.

• Providing ad hoc analytical support as required by the category initiatives

• Generating and articulating clear actionable insights and highlight relevant trends through data exploration and analysis

• Assisting the procurement function in developing tools and best practices to maintain and improve enterprise data quality

• Driving Multiple projects on KPI: - Productivity, Cash Flow, SRM & Supply Base, Preferred Suppliers.

• Conducting analysis on P2P, to identify gaps on Payment term, lead times, opportunity on value streaming

• Preparing reports on Spend and Savings & Opportunities for executive reviews

• Dashboard maintenance of Enterprise – Indirect commodities (Managing Daily Improvement and Pareto Analysis)

Qualifications:

• Extensive analysis on advanced MS Excel (Advanced user - pivot tables, v lookups, macros)

• Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Tableau

• Bachelor’s degree

• 3-5 years’ experience in Sourcing & Procurement Analytics.

• Excellent analytical skills and strategic analysis from huge databases

• Initiative-taker to drive & support multiple projects with minimum supervision

• Good research skills for understanding the external market – domestic and international

• Solid critical thinking skills, using reason, analysis, and return on investment

• Ability to manage pressure and excellent prioritization

• A flexible, teamwork approach to tasks and responsibilities

• Experience in pulling data feeds from multiple ERP / source systems

Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000
