We are currently hiring a DevSecOps Sr. Engineer who will play a critical role on the DevSecOps Platform team by developing the security and scalability of our organization's software development life cycle(s). You will be the lead engineer in establishing the DevSecOps Platform which will integrate multiple systems that support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your primary focus will be on improving software delivery performance by working with the processes and systems used to develop software, integrating security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, and collaborating with software development teams to minimize vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with internal policies.

This is a Remote position.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement secure development, testing, and deployment processes, including security controls, code scanning, and vulnerability management.

  • Become familiar with multiple tools that support the SDLC and determine how to best integrate them into build and deployment pipelines. Tools include monitoring, project management, ticket/incident management, build, configuration, testing, automation, security.

  • Integrate, configure, and manage multiple systems that support the SDLC, such as source code management systems, build tools, test automation frameworks, and deployment platforms.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and proactively recommend security enhancements to protect the organization's data and systems.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on the DevSecOps Platform capabilities, providing guidance and training to the team and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to work as an individual contributor doing “hands on keyboard” work building capabilities within the platform. Also approach all work with humility, empathy and the desire to teach others via creating hands-onexperiences, guiding, and coaching.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a development or lead capacity.

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and expertise in cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, or equivalent.

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.

  • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies, including cloud security, secure coding, infrastructure security, and compliance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience leading technical implementations, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

  • Familiar with Lean concepts such as systems thinking, value streams, feedback loops, and visualization of work. Experience working within an Agile framework or similar modes.

Base Pay Range : $110,000 to $135,000.
