Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Dallas, TX

Position Type: W2 Full-Time Logistics Coordinator

Pay Range: $18 - $21.50/hr

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Logistics Coordinator for our team in Houston, TX. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring efficient management of warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, forklift operation, inventory management, and equipment handling (technician tool and equipment checkin and checkout). The ideal candidate will be OSHA certified for forklift operation, showcasing a commitment to safety and efficiency in all warehouse processes.

Prior experience in the telecommunications industry a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining OSHA certification and adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Conduct data entry for inventory management, tracking shipments, and updating warehouse records.

  • Oversee the equipment check-in and checkout process, ensuring accurate record-keeping and availability of necessary tools and machinery.

  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize warehouse layouts and processes for maximum efficiency.

  • Manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with vendors and transportation partners to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to queries and concerns related to shipping and receiving.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.

  • Must have completed OSHA training for forklift operation and completed a certification. Must provide evidence.

  • Must have a drivers license in good standing

  • Proven experience in a logistics, warehouse, or similar role.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and databases.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and meet the physical demands of the warehouse environment.

  • Team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently when required.
