DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Children and Youth Assistant Administrator 2 has the overall responsibility for the delivery of professional child welfare services, which are in conformance with county, state, and federal laws, regulations, policies, and with best practice. The goals of agency service delivery are to provide for the safety, permanency, and well-being of children served by the agency. In this role, you will provide leadership to service staff in regard to the mission, goals and service delivery of the agency. Responsibilities include: Keeping agency administrator informed of all relevant matters Reviewing all relevant federal and state bulletins and laws to determine application to agency services Collaborating with management to assure coordination of services Participating in interagency team meetings

Our mission is to provide for the immediate safety and protection of children, to keep children with their own families whenever possible, to provide temporary, substitute care for children when necessary, and to reunite children with their families as quickly as possible after placement.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a children and youth social services program agency; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
