Brown and Caldwell Electrical/I&C Designer in Columbus, Ohio

Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Designer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on various projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients and will work directly with engineers on 2D and 3D electrical and/or I&C designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries. Detailed Description: For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity for significant professional growth and the potential to collaborate with local and national teams. In this role, your responsibilities will include electrical design services to develop design documents using AutoCAD and Revit. We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of executing industrial and municipal electrical design work. Primary responsibilities include: Interpretation and markup/update of electrical design plans and specifications Design development for facility power, lighting, control system and alarm systems Design development for power distribution, motor control systems and schematic development AutoCAD drafting and Revit modeling as required supporting staff engineers to develop complete electrical and controls design plans and systems Collaborating with a national team of technical experts in the electrical, I&C and process automation group Desired Skills and Experience: Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit for creating design and construction drawings Technical college training in the design and/or construction of electrical systems or degree in electrical engineer is a plus Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrical designer in the municipal water/wastewater and/or private industry preferred Solid understanding of the National Electric Code preferred. Understanding and experience with Process and Instrumentation Control Diagram (P&ID) development in Plant 3D or AutoCAD is a plus Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education.
