This is a Manufacturing Engineer I position with a company in Columbus, MS.

Responsibilities: Create and maintain Engineering masters and operations work orders through an electronic ERP System (SAP). Create part inspection check lists, first article inspections, manufacturing planning documents, inspection sheets, request for change inquiries, purchase orders, inspect drawings, provide support to the production floor with drawing and technical specifications interpretations. Main interface with internal or external design engineering services. Prevent process bottlenecks and improve processes for the manufacturing engineering activities. Follow established company procedures and project execution processes. Performs to individual and company objectives and metrics. Incorporates lean manufacturing principles and participates in process improvement initiatives. Address MRB conditions and recommend and implement corrective actions. Identify and implement process improvements across the facility. Participate in change board activities.

Qualifications: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Proficient with GD&T and blueprint reading/model interrogation. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with CATIA, NX or similar 3D CAD Software. Must be a US Person.
