The Sherwin-Williams Company Senior Application Developer, Front End in Cleveland, Ohio

The Senior Application Developer, Front End role is responsible for designing and implementing the user-facing aspect of digital platforms, such as websites, across multiple device sizes. This will include creating engaging and interactive user interfaces that provide a seamless user experience and requires a foundational understanding of front-end app development, programming languages, tools (i.e., task runners), and delivery models (i.e., CI/CD). The incumbent will have a strong ability to work collaboratively with technical stakeholders such as Applications Development Engineering (Back-End) and non-technical stakeholders such as project managers, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and solutions. They will also possess strong business and communication skills to talk both technically and functionally about products and solutions, and an understanding of how to configure platforms to achieve goals for the company. Develop and maintain user interfaces for digital platforms using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end functionality with server-side logic and databases Build reusable code and libraries for future use and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Ensure the seamless performance of applications on various devices and browsers Consult and collaborate with UX/UI designers and users to ensure interfaces are visually appealing and functional Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders, including project teams, business analysts, and end-users Consume web services and APIs to integrate data and functionality from external sources, allowing for more robust and dynamic platforms Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to front-end development Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in front-end application development or application engineering Knowledge & Experience Required 5+ years of experience in software development, specifically in application development engineering 5+ years of REACT Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with front-end frameworks, Photoshop and/or other graphic design tools Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders Preferred Experience with PowerPlatform Experience with ERP platforms that are cloud based, such as Oracle Cloud Experience with VBCS Technical Skills Front-End Coding Languages Front-End Development Tools Programming Languages Web Services & APIs Systems Integration Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Software Testing & Quality Assurance Methodologies & Tools Code Prompt Engineering U/UX Design Version Control Tools Secure Coding Standards Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodology DevOps Methodology This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. This position is eligible to work in the office three days a week and has the option to work remotely two days a week.
