Job Description

Insight Global is looking for two assistant port engineers to support a federal engineering contract. These port engineers will travel for 6 months to Mobile, AL. They will be helping with the mechanical and structural installation of a system on a Naval Ships. The Port Engineers will develop ship alteration packages including work items, drawings, and independent cost estimates. They will also review and update work packages for modernization activities. These Port Engineers will go on the ship and Conduct ship-checks which they will then analyze data, perform studies, and develop technical reports for material readiness on structural systems. If there is any issues, they will support analysis and design of naval architecture or structural systems, modeling of structural systems and foundations as integrated with the vessel, and other naval architecture and structural engineering functions.

Skills and Requirements

-BS in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture.

-5 years' experience in Marine or Naval Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture.

-Must qualify for and apply for a Confidential Security Clearance. null
