Description

Kindle Content Protection team is looking for a high caliber Quality assurance engineer to secure books delivered across devices. Our mission is to constantly improve the security of Kindle books and in turn protect the trust of content creators, rights holders and reading customers, reputation of our brand and profitability.

Our Quality Assurance Engineers work with Software Development Engineers, to understand features and technical implementation. They also work with groups such as Product Management, User Interaction, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

Our Quality Assurance Engineers test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. They are not pure black box testers; they are grey box testers able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Python/Java and/or user-level automated tools. We are looking for a talented, detail, oriented Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic advocating for customers

Key job responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

  • Work closely with engineers and business owners throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including the requirements gathering and design analysis

  • Drive the creation of test plans and test cases, efficiently execute test cases across all functional and UI areas of our products

  • Interpret and report testing results, and be an advocate for quality in every phase of the development process

  • Automate all the test cases for the features before the deployments, focused on UI, API or Mobile automation for Amazon Payment products using Java, open source and Amazon tools.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in manual testing

  • Experience in automation testing

  • Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in API & Mobile testing

  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
