Job Overview:
Reviewing project HSE management plans and procedures.
This role will be working in offshore vessel.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Providing training in project specific processes and procedures to crew members.
Assisting the Chief Mate/Vessel Safety Officer to incorporate Level II HSE procedures into operations.
Taking an active role in incident investigations to ensure timely production of good quality and unbiased reports.
Coordinating routine HSES inspections and reporting findings to vessel management, operations and project management team.
Ensuring that all project safety initiatives and communications are conveyed and implemented.
Monitoring the permit to work process for project operations.
Participating in and monitoring project TRA and HAZID'S; ensuring all actions are documented and monitored through to completion.
Maintaining competence to train vessel crew in mandatory safety related courses.
Liaising with the Chief Mate/Vessel Safety Officer to ensure personnel manifested to join the vessel hold current project prerequisite training for the designation.
Assisting the Chief Mate/Vessel Safety Officer in the implementation of the BBSM and Vessel Safety.
Liaising with the Chief Mate/Vessel Safety Officer regarding marine and project related safety and emergency drills to ensure a coordinated emergency response Assessment program.
Completion of any Project/Regional required documentation.
Participating in emergency response activities as required
Essential Qualifications and Education:
NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Certificate
Internal SMS Auditor
Min. 1-3 years HSES related work experience in offshore construction
Strong knowledge of McDermott process and procedures.
Familiar with ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 standards
BOSIET
Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
STCW Reg
VI-6 – Security Familiarization
