Position Summary

Responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of tax activities accurately and timely manner in order to minimize the tax obligations of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

  • Prepare, Review and Coordinate all tax related reports, reconciliations and returns of various international locations and ensure they are timely completed and submitted as per Service Level Agreement's (“SLA”) in concurrence with regional tax teams as well as the company's tax advisors.

  • Upload data files into OneSource tax provision software, reconcile tax payable and deferred tax accounts, and analyze tax expense in support the worldwide quarterly tax provision process

  • Coordinate with different departments during tax, internal, and/or external audits of the multiple international locations by providing data as requested by the regional tax teams and company’s tax advisors.

  • Manage, coordinate and balance the tax team’s workload and ensure leaves are efficiently managed among the team members to ensure a well-balanced workload and continuous delivery of quality results in compliance with SLA's.

  • Oversee preparation of the monthly Corporate Income Tax, Advance Tax and indirect tax compliance for the jurisdictions under the responsibility of the Chandigarh tax team as well as manage queries from the finance team for tax related reporting obligations that have been transitioned to the finance group.

  • Ensure SOX compliant process documentation is maintained, updated regularly, and approved.

  • Conduct the team’s performance appraisals, provide feedback, and submit reports to management.

  • Prepare and submit MIS dashboards and reports as required.

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time, but not limited to above.

  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Indian Chartered Accountancy Certification.

DESIRED

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with an multinational company

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Supervisory skills to lead a team to achieve goals

  • Sound knowledge of advanced accounting principles and processes.

  • Knowledgeable of direct and indirect tax principles

  • Knowledgeable of tax accounting and tax reconciliations

  • Ability to analyze & interpret financial statements

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel.

  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills

  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills

Additional Information

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night as business needs demand in support of US reporting requirements

  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place

  • Work surface is stable (flat)
