Position Summary

To assist the Manager, IT Service Center with carrying out defined roles with all IT Operations Monitoring related roles including the Server Checks, HR Change requests, Backup checks and alerts. Also maintain records of all such activities

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL (9 pt, All Caps)

  • Assist in availability of 24/7/365 staffing schedule of IT operations
  • Assist in 24/7 monitoring of the servers, network and systems health using Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, Solarwinds, Splunk etc
  • Work with trouble tickets, support teams to restore normal IT services
  • Assist network operations center with investigations & documentation where warnings / threshold breach is observed
  • Assist with the monitoring and issue reporting of all kinds of virus and malware infections across the sites on servers and workstations, and take corrective actions
  • Liaising with other teams / vendors as required on escalated virus/malware alerts or IT issues
  • Assist with HR change requests across eastern hemisphere & brazil including account renames
  • Assist with service request tasks, using Microsoft SCSM, as required
  • User Account Management, Access management
  • Assist with Server build & maintenance activties
  • Global support for printers & inventory management
  • Assist with managing the google groups memberships for all the users across the eastern hemisphere
  • Assist with all backup checks EH
  • Assist the workstation group with standard apps roll-out for workstations and servers using Microsoft SCCM
  • Assist in creation of workflows for operational tasks
  • Manage, control and document changes per the change management supervisor
  • Assist in root cause analysis of IT operation issues
  • Any other tasks as directed by line manager

NON-ESSENTIAL

  • Should be open to travel as per business needs

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has NO supervisory responsibilities

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to Manager, IT Service Center
  • Works closely with other teams within Service Center
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent education
  • Total work experience of 2-3 years
  • Good working knowledge of Windows operating system, Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2), Linux Redhat 7
  • General IT experience in administration or operations

DESIRED

  • Knowledge of MS Active Directory
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
