In this position as Cloud Platform Services Manager AWS & Alibaba, you will lead and mentor world class engineering talent, so they can grow their careers and deliver enabling services to our internal customers. You will manage a team of skilled engineers to deliver on daily operational activities, Emerson engineer experience efforts, and infrastructure tool automation development. To thrive in this role, you must be able to develop a culture of trust among your team, as well as supported customer teams. An ability to focus on results by translating initiatives into actions is critical. Experience managing a distributed team in a complex operational environment is helpful.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Recruit, develop, mentor, coach and inspire a global team of Infrastructure platform engineers, while also building a culture of collaboration, making data-driven decisions, and driving continuous learning.

• Create personalized development plans for members of your team to enable opportunities for growth and the maturation of new capabilities.

• Manage relationships with Emerson stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and effective collaboration on projects.

• Partner with stakeholders to solve complicated problems, identify and reinforce technical direction, and establish clear priorities.

• Support the team by managing workload, prioritizing tasks, escalations, and unblocking impediments.

Who You Are:

An enthusiastic cloud practitioner with intent to continuously learn new solutions and implement them for the organization. Also enjoys mentoring and training people to innovate and improve the overall productivity.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• 8-10 years of overall IT Experience and at least 2 years in in supervisor / team lead role.

• Two (2) or more years leading global teams effectively.

• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment and the ability to support team backlog refinement, planning, and retrospectives.

• Thorough understanding of the DevOps concepts & culture, with a focus on using software engineering tools, methodologies, and concepts to deliver consumable infrastructure platforms and tools to other engineering teams.

• Functional knowledge and experience including but not limited to: development practices, information security principles, vendor management, executive communications, and data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Alibaba.

• Experience with technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes, Linux, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Configuration as Code (Ansible), Git, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Elastic stack (ELK) & Dynatrace.
