Cerex Advanced Fabrics, Inc Electrical and Instrument Technician in CANTONMENT, Florida

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrument (EandI) Technician with at least 5 years manufacturing or industrial related work experience for our Cantonment, FL manufacturing facility. This position will safely perform necessary support to ensure continuous operation of our plant processes. Duties will include but are not limited to: maintaining and troubleshooting EandI equipment, program and maintain plant PLC's. Journeyman's License preferred. Regular work hours are M-F 6:30am-3:00pm. Must be available for occasional overtime during special projects and on call every 5 weeks. Requirements:

  • 5 Years Manufacturing / Industrial Experience
  • Journeyman Certification is a preferred

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on industrial electrical and instrument control circuitry.
  • Ability to read, understand, and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E and I drawings, blueprints and schematics.
  • Able to troubleshoot AC and DC variable speed drives. Able to troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade power distribution system, MCC and switch gears.
  • Ability to read, understand and ensure compliance with National Electric Code.
  • Keeps up to date with advancements in instrumentation and electrical technology and equipment. Develop and recommends upgrades and improvements to existing systems.
  • Ability to work within a self managed, team based work environment.
  • Assist with Electrical / Instrumentation needs on Capital installations.
  • Routine Maintenance activities that may include motors, lighting and other electrical circuits.
  • Additional duties as required to support business needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Requires frequent walking, stretching, bending, climbing and stooping movements
  • Must be able to work in non air-conditioned environment and around heated equipment
