The Division of Public Works (DPW), within the Department of Administration, is recruiting for a Project Coordinator. We are seeking a personable and professional individual with strong customer service skills, attention to detail and the desire to work in a team environment. The Project Coordinator is a key position in the Division of Public Works as part of the Design and Construction team that manages new facility construction and remodeling projects for State agencies. Our office is located in beautiful downtown Boise.

Example of Duties:

  • Prepares and distributes various construction related contracts and documents for assigned projects;

  • Sets up project files, records bid openings, processes payments and updates division website;

  • Provides construction project coordination between internal and external customers;

  • Assists external customers with project information and guidance using the Project Management Software System;

  • Coordinates requests from agencies, develops tracking lists;

  • Assists with Regional, Mid-Range and Service Contract Renewals;

  • Maintains historical files of projects as required by statute;

  • Assists leadership team with various special projects and requests.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors;

  • Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems;

  • Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments;

  • Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.

    Desirable Qualifications (not required but may increase your overall score).

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel;

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction field terminology.

    Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check.

    This position will also interact with a diverse customer base and must be able to interact in a non-partisan manner when working in political environments.
