Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician position will report to the Maintenance Engineering Manager and will ensure that safety, quality, and production goals are met. Incumbent is responsible for the general maintenance of production equipment and plant facilities and will apply knowledge of electrical/electronic principles to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. The Electrical Technician will provide skilled electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing. Must be well organized, have good attention to detail, and be able to multitask. Must be able to work well with others as a team member.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all equipment meets safety requirements and that all jobs are performed in accordance with company safety.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment, observes and follows all safety polices, wears appropriate and prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Actively perform failure and root cause analysis and propose and execute the proper corrective action plan.
  • Actively participate in PM activities.
  • Execute maintenance inspection.
  • Propose, develop and execute master plans to continue to improve maintenance performance, focusing on safety, reliability, efficiency and maintainability.
  • Use precision tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal-generators and power-supplies etc.
  • May read and interpret detailed schematics, engineering drawings, wiring schematics, etc.
  • Ensure electrical and automation standards and controls are maintained at high quality.

Education and Experience:

  • Employee must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.

``` - High School Diploma or Electrical Associates degree preferred. - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) - Quick learner and able to manage multiple projects at the same time. - Proven understanding of PLC and HMI systems, AC Drives, Servo-drives, Servomotors, Encoders, Sensors etc. - Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
