Duties & Responsibilities

CORE FUNCTION

  • Ensuring that Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and expectations are fully implemented with Regional Operations and compliant with local regulations.
  • Adhering to the Operations Budget, including assisting sites with the development and management of budgets and monitoring capital budget expenditure within defined limits
  • Taking action to maximise the contribution of own area to the Company’s profitability and growth by constantly looking for opportunities to improve business performance; managing business operations to maintain competitive advantage; making cost-benefit decisions and ensuring that target revenues are met or exceeded
  • Ensuring that Operational sites deliver nominated, on-spec products to customers as per agreed contracts and schedules
  • P & L responsibility for the location
  • Preparation of bids and proposals
  • Scheduling and allocating Operational projects
  • Monthly reporting
  • Monthly meetings
  • Monitoring Operational site performance
  • Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives and processes
  • Communicating regularly with the Client and Operational sites as required
  • Client satisfaction monitoring
  • Monitoring maintenance and operations practices to deliver optimum reliability
  • Providing support to the Oceaneering Crisis Management Team, where required
  • Mentoring of employees including training plans

General

  • Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Promote a strong HSE culture at all times;
  • Ensure that personnel identify with and achieve, the necessary Health and Safety performance standards associated with the relative risks to personnel and plant in their environment and daily work;
  • Ensure that business and HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team and communicated to the Client;
  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree or minimum 15 years’ experience in Inspection services and hydrocarbon or related chemical processing industry (desirable)
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience in South East Asia
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting and business planning
  • Knowledge of Competency Based Training and Assessment
  • Formal Management training (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing HSEQ management systems

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Inspection services and hydrocarbon industry or related chemical processing industry operations
  • Experience in operational integrity and safety management systems
  • Experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team

Required Skills and Aptitudes

  • Demonstrated management, leadership, communication and planning skills
  • Knowledge of facilities, maintenance, engineering and project management
  • Knowledge of ISO certifications and compliance
  • Knowledge of NATA requirements
  • Practical operational awareness in the following areas (desirable):
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Radiographic testing & work safely with ionizing radiation (RT)
  • Welding Inspection/Pressure Vessel Inspection
  • Ensure that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans
  • Ability to establish and maintain project priorities
  • Ability to plan, organise and direct the work of others
  • Experience working with engineering contracts and contract administration processes
