The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L1) is responsible for providing a support and monitoring managed service for clients' cloud-based environments. This role proactively identifies, investigates, and resolves cloud-based incidents, service requests and alerts. The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. This role focuses on first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests to ensure the smooth operation and optimisation of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

Working at NTT

  • Experience of 3-5 years with managing Linux/Virtualization/Cloud systems Installation, configuration & troubleshooting.

  • Experience in Hyperscalars such as Azure,AWS,Google Cloud

  • Experience with configuration management tool such as Ansible & puppet is a plus.

  • Hands on experience on Shell Scripting to automate repetitive daily Lab Operations task.

  • Help troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Suse,Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian

  • Help automate server maintenance, including running scripts and automated processes

  • Good knowledge about the Linux File system , Kernel, RAID, boot process and Run levels

  • Advanced Linux network configuration knowledge (VLAN tagging, network bridge, bonding modes), networking, IP and routing fundamentals

  • Well versed with Linux architectural features and applications like ssh, vsftp, nfs, http, DHCP , PXE & DNS.

  • Experience with Vulnerability management - Analyzing scanned security reports and actioning towards their remediation .

  • Practical knowledge of Linux server upgrades and patching activities for vulnerabilities reported.

  • Experience with HP, Cisco, Quanta, Dell Server hardware & their maintenance

  • Good English language skills, written and spoken, with strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence without authority

  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure, with attention to details
