Roles & Responsibilities:
work with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams.
Attend Tol gate/ review meeting
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
5 to 10 years of experience in component Design & Development of Locomotive
Experience in Conceptual design for Locomotive Ventilation
Thorough knowledge on Ventilation, cooling or compressed air subsystems of Locomotive
Desired Skills:
Experience in Bolted Joint Analysis
Hands on experience on tolerance stack up analysis
Work experience on change orders for design changes (ECR, ECN, and PLM.)
Able to analyse shop issues and provide solutions
Have good knowledge on Welding selection
Experience on Sheet metal design
Should have worked on Concept generation using idea generation methods.
Have good knowledge on validation process of components.
Have good knowledge on New component introduction process.
Should have worked in FMEA, Validation & Verification plan.
Strong knowledge in Engineering standards followed [ANSI,ISO,ASTM]
Good oral / written communication skill, English proficiency, MS office proficiency
GD&T, DFA/DFM/DFS.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in NX 10 or above with TcE knowledge
Good in drawing reading skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing and machining process. Skills required
ANSI /ASME specification knowledge.
Manufacturing/Shop floor exposure.
Quality & Inspection measuring equipment knowledge. Personal soft skills
Good in Communication
