Roles & Responsibilities:

• Mechanical engineering & provide technical direction for mechanical design efforts to develop CM&U upgrade solutions for Gas turbine packages that improve performance, reliability, availability & maintainability for installed base.

• Lead mechanical design for CM&U solutions associated with auxiliary systems for Gas turbines, such as Fuel systems, Lube oil, Compressor Air systems, Heating & Ventilation, Enclosures etc.

• Ensure design functionality, safety and integrity and compliance with appropriate Codes and Design Practices.

• P&ID/Schematic drawing knowledge: Read, interpret and develop Process & Instrumentation diagrams.

• Knowledge on Hardware drawings such as Piping assembly, Skid outlines and fabrication drawings.

• Conduct design reviews with chief engineering office as required.

• Collaborate with cross disciplinary functions like CADD, Electrical, Controls, Suppliers, Site Installation teams to execute projects.

• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

• Should have served as primary interface with customers and have demonstrated the implementation of design requirements, design changes, analysis, and verification of each task.

• Planning the tasks, executing, and delivering on time, with cost effective and quality.

• Provide start up, commissioning, troubleshooting support for projects executed.

• Maintain standard BOMs / drawings by incorporating recent lessons learned and keeping it up to date.

• Support site surveys and customer meetings

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Experience in Gas Turbines accessories systems.

• Knowledge of Combine Cycle Power Plants, Accessories and Auxiliary systems such as Fuel Systems (Gas fuel, Liquid fuel), Oil systems (Lube, Hydraulic, Trip oil systems), Compressor air systems, Water systems (Cooling water, Compressor wash, Water injection), Heating & Ventilation, Enclosures, Gas Turbine Inlet and Exhaust systems, etc.

• Experience in reading and developing Schematics (P&IDs), Skids, Piping /Tubing, General Arrangements, Structural drawings, and technical Specifications.

• Experience in Process engineering, Equipment’s, valve sizing and its actuation technologies.

• Experience in Piping design, pipe selection, pipe sizing, pressure drop calculations etc. as per ASME standards.

• Experience in piping stress analysis using AutoPIPE tool.

• Experience in developing Device Summary (Instrumentation), electrical load list, Creation and Modification as per the project need.

• Basic experience in instruments function, electrical systems, and its interfaces to the mechanical systems.

• Knowledge in Project Life Cycle Management (PLM) for releasing Drawings/BOM

• Good knowledge on mechanical concepts - Thermal engineering and Fluid mechanics.

• Knowledge on Sizing and Selection of Valves, Pumps, Blowers.

• Basic Tool Hand-on experience: NX, Enovia PLM or similar.

Non-Technical Skills:

• Good communication skills - Both Written and Spoken.

• Ability to quickly learn and execute with minimum hand hold.
