Your role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Entertainment, Marketing Strategy, you will be part of Radio-Canada’s Marketing & Communications group.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and implementing marketing actions under your purview, ensuring they meet requesters’ needs as well as marketing objectives and strategies. Projects must also be carried out in compliance with standards, policies, approved budgets and timelines, as well as with collective agreements covering talent and other employees.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Recommend, develop and implement effective, innovative marketing and publicity tactics on both conventional and digital platforms (including social media) in line with existing strategies.

  • Work closely with various departments to produce and deliver effective, strategic, creative projects to achieve objectives with the best possible ROI.

  • Prepare and distribute strategic and media briefs in conjunction with marketing strategists and the Senior Manager, Entertainment, ensuring that projects are clearly understood by everyone involved.

  • Work with our media buying agency and in-house digital planners to review and improve on outside media proposals, ensuring that plans are aligned with our objectives and consistent with existing user journeys.

  • Deliver advertising material to the buying agency and media planners.

  • Develop promotional tactics in tandem with marketing strategists. Co-ordinate the receipt of material and deliver creatives for broadcast and posting on our platforms.

  • Co-ordinate all manner of marketing communications campaigns, ensuring their quality as well as their compliance with standards, deadlines, budgets and other conditions. Co-ordinate delivery and/or online posting.

  • Produce or commission marketing material required for our digital channels (including social media).

  • Develop editorial content for newsletters in conjunction with the Relationship Marketing team. Plan, write and share all elements required for newsletter rollout.

  • Develop editorial content for ICI TOU.TV app push notifications in conjunction with the Relationship Marketing team. Plan and write copy.

  • Help conduct post-campaign assessments, sharing key points and recommendations with the strategy and creative teams.

  • Carry out all other related tasks as needed.

Telework: Telework is encouraged by Radio-Canada Marketing & Communications. You may be required to travel to Montreal a few times a year as part of your duties.

Please note this is a 12-month full-time expected need.

What you bring / Job requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or substantial equivalent experience, in communications, advertising, digital marketing or a related field

  • Three (3) years’ related experience

  • Digital communications experience that includes involvement in marketing strategy an asset

Skills:

  • Knowledge of and passion for the media

  • Extensive knowledge of the digital advertising market, content marketing and social media

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of staff and management

  • Ability to be versatile, flexible, independent and adaptable to change

  • Excellent organizational skills, diligence, tact and team-playing attitude

  • Creativity in developing marketing tactics

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French; English an asset

  • Strong proficiency in promotional writing and community engagement

  • Ability to work on several large projects at the same time

  • Ability to engage teams and foster collaboration remotely

  • Ability to work in a tight-deadline environment

  • Strong client-service orientation

  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive)
