Intel CPU Circuit Design Engineer in Austin, Texas

Job Description

The Atom CPU Circuit Technology team is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, experienced individual to join our team as CPU Circuit Design Engineer. Our team defines static timing methodology for the Atom core, evaluates process nodes, Internal and External foundry technologies, to determine PPA scaling, sets frequency targets to meet product scaling expectation, guides the design team to meet those targets and signs off on IP circuit quality for tape-in. The team also owns the core Voltage-Frequency curves, post-silicon circuit marginality debug and coordinates silicon2simulation correlation activity. Your responsibility will eventually lead to owning the afore-mentioned activities for one or more Atom cores.

Qualifications

You must possess the below education and minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering or any STEM related degree with 6+ years of experience in a high-tech company or master's degree in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering or any STEM related degree with 4+ years of experience in a high-tech company or PhD in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering or any STEM related degree with 2+ years of experience in a high-tech company.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on expertise and strong fundamentals in 3 or more of the areas the following areas:

Complementary MOS (CMOS) circuits design.

Digital logic and optimizations.

Circuit design trade-off for power, performance and area.

Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI).

Static timing

Scripting Language - PERL/Python , TCL

Silicon speed Debugging

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
