Google Technical Program Manager II, Data Center Supplier Quality in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality management with systems deploying to mission critical facilities or manufacturing industrial equipment.

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or design of low medium and high voltage switchgear.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ certification (CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA), or equivalent qualifications/experience.

  • 4 years of experience in data analysis, report creation, statistical modeling, and forecasting.

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with switchgear installation/deployment in data centers or similar mission-critical environments.

  • Understanding of electrical codes and standards relevant to mission-critical operations (e.g., NFPA/NEC, UL, or equivalent).

  • Proficiency in Design of Experiment (DOE), statistical analysis, process control, use of statistical software (JMP/SAS, Minitab).

Join our mission as a Supplier Quality Technical Program Manager specializing in electrical systems. In this role, you'll forge essential partnerships with suppliers to safeguard the quality and performance of our data centers' electrical power distribution infrastructure. Your expertise will be key in collaborating with diverse teams across product design, procurement, manufacturing, and data center operations. You'll promote data-driven decision-making, leading root cause analyses and implementing proactive, sustainable corrective actions to ensure our infrastructure meets the highest standards.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build and maintain relationships with electrical power distribution equipment suppliers, ensuring proactive quality management throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Lead in-depth power distribution failure investigations, identifying true root causes and implementing systemic corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Analyze production metrics, test results, quality audits, and field performance data to establish statistical links and drive proactive quality improvements.

  • Validate supplier build and test processes against Google requirements and relevant industry standards (e.g. PPAP) to ensure compliance and product lifecycle integrity.

  • Conduct supplier audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement in variability reduction, predictability, lead time optimization, and output quality enhancement.
