The Lead Program Manager, Executive Compensation Programs will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of Delta’s executive compensation programs. This position will complete analytics and develop recommendations to maintain Delta’s executive compensation structure, support plan design alternatives and effectively communicate plan provisions to the participant groups.

This position is an in-office role at the Delta Air Lines Corporate campus in Atlanta and will report to the Director, Executive Compensation.

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

  • Manage and administer certain Executive Total Rewards and Benefits programs, including developing and implementing policies and processes.

  • Partner with program and product teams to map the end-to-end requirements and processes for enabling compensation tools, identifying dependencies, timelines, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create guidelines for program governance and administration.

  • Act as an escalation point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, troubleshooting, reaching resolution, and escalating as appropriate.

  • Review and analyze program efficiencies for continuous improvement, including conducting audits and reporting, presentations, and reviewing program communication documents.

  • Plan calendar and related activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Research and model market trends and best practices and potential impact to Delta’s compensation structure.

  • Develop communication strategy and materials for compensation plans. Condense complex plan information into succinct and concise statements, education materials, reference guides and plan overviews.

  • Provide guidance and consultation to client groups in all areas of executive compensation.

  • Engage in competitive benchmarking initiatives for Delta’s executive compensation programs and complete analytics to maintain Delta’s compensation philosophy.

  • Participate in other Total Rewards cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed, such as engaging with annual processes like MIP and LTIP.

  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources, or related field

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to think creativity and innovatively

  • Minimum of 3-5 years business experience in compensation-related duties

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access a plus

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and “hands-on” environment.

  • Experience working in an environment with HR Shared Services and partnering with various stakeholders to meet goals.

  • Excellent customer service skills with experience communicating with senior executives.

  • Results oriented and capable of meeting deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously with constantly changing priorities

  • Ability to interact with management at all levels and build effective working relationships

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in ambiguous circumstances

  • Comfortable working autonomously in an ambiguous environment

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience with Delta HR systems and/or familiarity with Delta's work groups and organizational structure is a plus.

  • Experience with SAP a plus

  • WorldatWork Certification a plus

  • Knowledge of international compensation a plus

  • Experience in Executive Compensation
