We are looking for a Sea Logistics Import Operational Care Specialist to join our dynamic Sea Logistics Team.

Your Role

Sea Logistics Import Operational Care Specialist is part of a team in the Operational Care Center responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners (carriers), executing the requisite data entry and generating the required documentation and liaising with our Customer Care team to ensure requirements are met. All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing sea transport and associated national protocols. This role specifically focuses on handling FCL import operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Creating and completing shipment details in our internal data management system (Carrier/Vessel, Item description, etc).

• Building and maintaining a strong partnership with key carriers and vendors.

• Reviewing alignment of shipping instructions including to clarify any deviations/conflicts taking country regulations, compliance and rate and routing information into consideration.

• Ensuring profit maximization.

• Monitoring operational performance of carriers and other vendors such as warehouse & customs/intermodal services, initiating and resolving any rate discrepancies.

• Working closely with Customer Care, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.

• Supporting the Customer Care team in resolving complaints.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Proven experience in sea logistics or a related department.

• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding.

• Proven experience in customer service.

• Advanced understanding of industry-specific guidelines and regulatory requirements.

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adept at prioritization and quick adaptation.

• Effective problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.

• Languages: Fluency in Dutch and good verbal and written knowledge of English.
