The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

As a key member of our Marketing Operations team, you will work closely with US marketing to ensure that promotional content meets regulatory requirements and conforms with Abbott’s Ad Promo material policies and procedures. You will coordinate and prioritize content for MLR review (Medical, Legal and Regulatory) and participate in the overall MLR review process:

What You’ll Work On

  • Collaborate with Marketing or agencies to prepare and submit materials to the for review and approval

  • Leadthe creation of the MLR submission priority list ad collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to ensure assets move quickly through the process; and track timely approval of promotional materials for efficient review

  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure reviews are efficiently completed throughout the stages of the approval process

  • Advise the teams to adhere to the Medical, Legal, Regulatory review process for promotional content

  • Has attention to detail and natural ability to prioritize multiple tasks, takes a proactive approach and positive attitude and can speak with confidence about the process

  • Identifies opportunities for innovation and process optimization

  • Ability to learn and stay up to date on the regulatory guidelines that govern the promotional content creation, production and distribution processes

  • Follow all Abbot Legal, Quality and Regulatory policies.

  • Solicit the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions in a tactful and persuasive manner.

  • Assist in the decision-making process.

  • Creates a work environment that supports team effectiveness.

  • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, and project staff.

  • Prepare and present written and oral reports and other presentations. Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes.

  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and working knowledge of automated project planning tools required.

  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver difficult messages; execute with limited information and ambiguity.

  • Leadership and influencing skills.

  • Sound business and technical acumen.

  • Experience with stakeholder management.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within healthcare Ad Promo MLR/PRC processes preferred.

  • Prefer experience in sales operations, marketing operations, and compliance operations.

  • Excellent software skills, such as Microsoft Suite, SalesForce, or an ability to pick up new software quickly.

  • Experience with marketing technology and familiarity with the MLR review process and modular content (e.g., Veeva PromoMats, Adobe AEM/Workfront, Veeva Vault) a plus

The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 – $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
