Duties & Responsibilities
To prepare, review and approve financial information in accordance with existing company policy and procedure.
Owner of Process and Procedure
Driving Operating efficiency through improved business routines
Delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
Responsible for closing cycles and operating routines
Attend regular operational meetings for all business lines
Lead Special Projects – Implementation of new Accounting Standards / Integrating Acquisitions etc.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Responsible for maintaining records in accordance with company and client requirements
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
- This position has direct supervisory responsibilities
- Relevant degree or equivalent from College course; Extensive relevant experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance & Accounting or Business Studies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, government bodies, and peers.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft.
